Homer's Iliad. Book XIV

This commentary of book 14 of the Iliad illustrates not only ever-changing fortunes of war in the ten-year fight but also the deep chasm between the immortals that the Trojan War evoked: Hera, against Zeus’ order that the gods should not interfere in the war of the mortals, deceives her husband and lures him to sleep so Poseidon can help the Greeks to get the upper hand again.
