English summary: For the first time in the philological history of Adalbert Stifters work, a handwritten copy of the famous novel Indian Summer (Der Nachsommer) is scholarly analyzed in volumes 4.4 and 4.5 of the history-critical collected works of Adalbert Stifter compiled by Walter Hettsche. Volume 4.4 documents the transmission history as well as the contemporary reception of the novel and contains the first part of the critical apparatus, which notes the variants between the edited text (volumes 4.1 to 4.3) and the handwritten copy. German description: In den von Walter Hettche erstellten Banden 4,4 und 4,5 der Historisch-Kritischen Gesamtausgabe wird erstmals in der Geschichte der Stifter-Philologie die handschriftliche Uberlieferung des Romans "Der Nachsommer" wissenschaftlich ausgewertet. Band 4,4 dokumentiert die Uberlieferungsgeschichte sowie die zeitgenossische Rezeption des Romans und enthalt daruber hinaus den ersten Teil des Apparats, der die Varianten zwischen dem edierten Text (Bande 4,1 bis 4,3) und der handschriftlichen Druckvorlage verzeichnet.
