Individuelles Symbolisieren: Zugange zu Religion im Kontext von Konfessionslosigkeit

To non-denominational learners, certain key themes of Christian tradition seem irrelevant. At the same time however, their own existential experience exhibits reflexive moments that are of a religious nature. Here lies a potential that could make a contribution to learning processes in religious education. This study develops criteria of religious hermeneutics for the observation of these experiences and therewith exercises the orientation by the subject which has been demanded by Schleiermacher in the past. The analysis of the use of metaphors in individual symbolizations as well as the description of teaching processes and their religious-hermeneutic reflections result in suggestions for didactic approaches in religious education within a post-socialist environment.
