Archival Appraisal: Theory and Practice

Drawing on her participation in advanced Association of Canadian Archivists' workshops on appraisal, Craig (information studies, U. of Toronto) introduces the appraisal concept, purposes, and historical development, in the context of archival objectives as articulated in English-speaking countries. Useful application methods and tools are discussed.
