Stop Changing Youth Ministers!

Short tenure among of youth ministers in the church is a problem well-known to many. And yet, the pattern persists in many congregations. Youth ministers who come and go quickly from church staffs are not only reacting to frustrating, dysfunctional systems already in place but in many cases are adding to that dysfunction. These patterns create an environment in which youth ministers find their task too demanding, become discouraged, and either go to another church or leave the profession. But what can be done to change this trend?
