The Servant of Yahweh in Isaiah 52:13-53:12: A Historical Critical and Afro-Cultural Hermeneutical Analysis with the Igalas of Nigeria in View

The author of this dissertation toes the line of many African theologians who have, since the 70s and 80s, tried to develop a postcolonial and specific African theology. The objective of such studies has been the development of a Bible-hermeneutics which evolves out of the language and culture of the given African people. This work, therefore, can be considered to be a successful and important contribution to the self-emancipating African theology of our time, with a focus on the views of the Igalas of Nigeria.
