Around the world, people have been expressing their discontent with political situations, demanding rights, wanting change, and attacking governmental institutions and their actors. Greek, Spanish, and Turkish authorities have arrested protesters and fired tear gas. Egyptian and Syrian governments have turned off the Internet. People have occupied public spaces in Manhattan. Mass demonstrations and protest activities have taken place against corrupt regimes and unjust justice systems. This book is based on articles presented at the State of Peace Conference in 2013.
