Nature in Education

We can no longer rely on nature as an unlimited resource for our survival, so we are forced to develop radical ways to 'access nature,' other than the techno-scientific ways which have dominated in modernity. The old idea of nature has been challenged by a growing consciousness of the anthropogenic origin of our modern nature. In this third volume of LIT Verlag's Philosophy of Education series, sponsored by the International Institute of Philosophy (Paris), a number of philosophers advance their ideas of nature and how it should be conveyed to new generations in the educational system.
