The Sacred and the Secular: Aesthetics in Domestic Spaces of Pakistan/Punjab

The book is based on ethnographic fieldwork which was carried out between 2012 and 2014, within the framework of the selected sample in the domestic spaces of different social strata in the Pakistani province of Punjab. The study focuses on the objects of material culture and artifacts kept for decoration as memorabilia, or presented as gifts for religious or other purposes in these domestic spaces.
