The contributions in this volume include the following: a reconsideration of the work of a number of writers - Heinrich Popitz, Theodor Geiger, Christian Sigrist, and, above all, Max Weber - who have received particularly critical attention from adherents of legal pluralism, arguing for further discussion of the concept of law developed by Franz von Benda-Beckmann
• the dynamic nature of interactions among plural legal systems, employing theories of legal pluralism to identify sources of legal plurality and to understand how these interact in Malaysia
