This volume which reports on recent, mostly Austrian, discoveries and research on the archaeology of early Christianity, contains six essays plus a bibliography of relevant Austrian publications from 2001. The articles, one of which is in English, discuss a fragment of ornate tunic now in Vienna, textiles decorated with human figures, Christian art in Egypt, an early Byzantine church, the excavation of the Synod in Ephesus and the collection of the Bade Institute of Biblical Archaeology in Berkeley, California.
