Young Jake and his father are on a mission to deliver four hundred pounds of cornmeal to the neighboring county trade store.

Things are going good till they come to an old county bridge that has a ditch washed out right in front of it. Will they make it across the bridge or will their plan to deliver the cornmeal fail?
