The Walk

At the heart of blazing summertime, some individuals are only able to feel their darkest sorrows that mirror the cold loneliness of the harshest of winters.

This is a short story about a woman's thoughts as she takes a walk to visit her recently departed fiance's final resting place high on a hill in the countryside during a humid August evening.
