The artist Stefan Hunstein returned from his journey to the Arctic in 2012 with magical pictures of untouched landscapes. In their majesty and beauty, their immensity and deadly cold, they display a particular affinity to the visions of ice in the painting and literature of Romanticism. The volume reproduces a selection of these breathtaking photographs, which are also presented to the public for the first time in a series of exhibitions.
