JOAQUIN SOROLLA: Spaniens Meister des Lichts / Spain's Master of Light

For the first time in Germany a comprehensive exhibition is being held of the brilliant paintings of the late Impressionist Spanish painter Joaquín Sorolla. More than any other artist of his time, Sorolla skilfully translated his subjects – joie de vivre, the life of ordinary people and elegance – into pictures with a freshness which echoes the bright light and his love for the colours of nature.
