Hans Hartung (1904–1989), indisputably one of the most important representatives of nonrepresentational painting during the twentieth century, experimented with the medium of photography from childhood. His series of portraits and landscapes as well as his abstract photographs and his experiments with light and shade are presented here in public for the first time.
