Piano Concerto: Study Score

(Study Score). Written between 1953 and 1955, this concerto may be seen as both amid-20th-century commentary upon, and a reaction against, the former heroic and percussive concerto types. Its initial inspiration came from a concert of Beethoven's 4th piano concerto.
