The Contribution of Geosciences to Human Security

Environmental problems, the development of sustainable and environment-friendly energy resources, and also the prevention and management of disasters have become major human security issues in Asian urban areas. This book, "The Contribution of Geosciences to Human Security", explains how geosciences can contribute to solving problems related to human security, and it also describes the recent achievements. The authors not only originated from ITB and Kyoto University but were also researchers and engineers from the oil and gas exploration industry, geothermal energy industry, and consultants from Indonesia and Japan who also participated in giving contributions to this book.
