This volume surveys the most recent work of Düsseldorf painter Bernd Finkeldei (born 1947). Quiet and modest, Finkeldei’s canvases focus on those modest objects that populate the painter’s studionot only the expected utensils, trestles, buckets and paint mixed on palettes, but also stray food items, a phone and even a vacuum cleaner.
