Sergei Tchoban: Architectural Worlds

Russian-German architect Sergei Tchoban (born 1962) is well-known for his virtuoso skills as a draftsman; for over 30 years he has also been a passionate collector of architectural drawings. This publication unites Tchoban's own drawings—which range from perspectival-illusionist representations of his hometown of St. Petersburg to travel impressions, fantasies and visionary architectural studies—with highlights from his collection of works by European architects and painters dating from the seventeenth century, including Ferdinando Galli Bibiena (1656-1743), Filippo Juvara (1678-1736) and Jacques-Louis David (1748-1825).
