Utilidad y decoro: Zeremoniell und symbolische Kommunikation in den 'Leges Palatinae' Konig Jacobs III. von Mallorca (1337)

English Summary: The theme of the conference proceedings is the question, whether in the 14th century in one of the Catalan kingdoms there has been a first European ceremony or whether it is a hybrid of law book and rules of the court. Thus, the leges palatinae give an insight into the living conditions and the inner structures of the society at court, whereby the illustration of the rich text characterises the manuscript as an important European contemporary document. German Description: Thema des Tagungsbandes ist die Frage, ob es im 14. Jahrhundert in einem der katalanischen Konigreiche ein in Europa erstes Zeremoniell gab oder ob es sich um ein Hybrid aus Rechtsbuch und Hofordnung handelt. Mithin geben die Leges palatinae einen Einblick in die Lebensumstande und die inneren Strukturen der Hofgesellschaft, wobei die Illustration des reichen Textes die Handschrift als ein wichtiges europaisches Zeitdokument charakterisiert.
