Every Product Tells a Story: Untold Matters of Awarded Design

Good products do not appear from nowwhere. In the beginning, there is always an idea which turns into the final product after a long development process and countless prototypes. But where do these ideas come from and how do designers get their motivation? Using a total of 21 examples, all of which received a distinction in the Red Dot Award: Product Design, the book explains where the inspiration for the concepts derives from and which human needs are fulfilled by the products. The works are divided into three groups: iconic models, material and basic needs and social responsibility.
