Detergents are substances and preparations that contain surfactants and are used as washing and cleaning products.
This Regulation defines the terms, specifies requirements placed on the biodegradability of surfactants in detergents, highlights exceptional marketing permission if requirements are not met, lays down labelling rules and imposes certain information obligations on manufacturers.
