Ellie works at a university hospital in London in the pediatric department, but when she hears that her father has suddenly collapsed, she jumps on a plane back to Ireland. A waiting her at the airport is her old neighbor James. Ellie never got on with James when she was a child. He was always feigning politeness and looking down on everyone—not what you’d call her type.
