The book publishes memoirs, letters, scientific articles and reports, publicist works of Russian emigrants who lived in Czechoslovakia in the period between two world wars: I.K. Belorus-Beloshevskaya (Chirkina), S.A. Shchepikhin, V.V. Dobrynin, E.E. Lazareva, A.V. Florovsky, A.N. Fateev, A.A. Kizevetter, V.A. Myakotin, B.A. Evreinov, S.G. Pushkarev, L.S. Lada-Yakushevich and S. Moravsky. They deal with the events of the Civil War, the causes of the defeat of the White Movement, the problems of emigration, the adaptation of Russians in the new conditions, the relations between Russia and Europe, Russia and the Slavic world. Scientific articles and reports are examples of the creative work of Russian historians abroad and are their contribution to national and world culture.
