While attempting to reach out to Marlene Dietrich and Orson Wells during the filming of Touch of Evil, the writer Hector Lassiter had to flee Cuidad Juarez with nothing less than the stolen head of Pancho Villa among his belongings. Pursued by dangerous assassins from the darker components of the Mexican Revolution, who through a secret society are involved with some of the most powerful politicians in the United States, Lassiter leaps out of the slums of the Rio Bravo to the exclusive Hollywood rodeos while attempting to free himself from an object that the two nations would kill to possess.
