Alvescot railway station was a railway station between the Oxfordshire villages of Alvescot and Black Bourton. It was on the East Gloucestershire Railway that linked Witney and Fairford. The station was built for the East Gloucestershire Railway, but the station and all trains serving it were operated from the beginning by the Great Western Railway; it opened on 15 January 1873. Under nationalisation in 1948 the station passed to the Western Region of British Railways. On 18 June 1962 British Railways closed Alvescot station and the East Gloucestershire Railway.
