Aethes Tesserana

It is found in most of Europe and the Near East.The wingspan is 12-18 mm. Adults are on wing from May to August. The larvae feed on the roots of Picris and Hierracium species. A moth is an insect closely related to the butterfly, both being of the order Lepidoptera.
