Rolf Bergersen (15 July 1906 - 29 April 1966) was a Norwegian sport shooter, World Champion and Olympic competitor.He became World Champion in running target in 1937, and again in 1949. He competed at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, achieving a fourth place, and at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, with a 6th placement. The 1952 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XV Olympiad, were an international multi-sport event held in Helsinki, Finland in 1952. Helsinki had been earlier given the 1940 Summer Olympics, which were cancelled due to World War II. It is famous for being the Olympic Games at which the most number of world records were broken, before the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
