Ronald Jean Jumeau (born January 24, 1957) is a Seychellois political figure and diplomat. He held various ministerial positions in the government from 1998 to 2007 and has been Permanent Representative of the Seychelles to the United Nations and Ambassador to the United States since 2007. Jumeau was born in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He attended secondary school at Seychelles College, from which he graduated in 1975. Early in his career he was a journalist; he was the first Editor of Seychelles Agence Presse from 1980 to 1982, and he also worked as Chief Editor of the Seychelles Nation daily newspaper.
