Daryl Hunt

Daryl Lynn Hunt (November 3, 1956, Odessa, Texas - July 9, 2010 Houston, Texas) was a professional American football player, a linebacker for six seasons for the Houston Oilers appearing in 78 career regular season games after being selected by Houston during the 6th round of the 1979 NFL Draft. Hunt is considered one of the best University of Oklahoma football players of the Barry Switzer era. Hunt played linebacker and remains the OU career record-holder for tackles, 530. He had three of the best six single-season tackle totals (157 in 1978, 159 in 1977 and 177 in 1976).
