Buda: I. kotet, 1686-ig / Buda. Part I. to 1686

The fourth volume of the Hungarian Atlas of Historic Towns series presents the city of Buda in the Middle Ages and the Ottoman period up to 1686, when the united troops of the Christian polities of Europe took it back from the Ottoman Empire. The atlas is based on my doctoral (PhD) dissertation on the topography of medieval Buda, published in two volumes in 2006 and 2008. This work has been revised and expanded for the current fascicle within the framework of the research project T 046866 of the Hungarian Scientific Research Fund (OTKA) aimed at the preparation of atlases of historic towns in Hungary.

Buda atlasza szerzőjenek, Vegh Andrasnak „Buda varos kozepkori helyrajza" c. doktori disszertaciojara epul. A kotetben a szerző topografiai kutatasait osszegzi az okleveles forrasok uj osszeallitasa es a legfrissebb regeszeti adatok felhasznalasa alapjan. Az atlasz munkalatai es adattara celjara ezeket a kutatasokat kibővitette a torok hodoltsag időszakara is. Az irasos forrasok lehető teljes korenek bevonasa mellett a kutatas messzemenőkig kiaknazta a latkepekben es terkepekben rejlő lehetősegeket is. A regeszeti asatasok eredmenyeit a BTM Kozepkori Osztalyanak munkatarsakent első kezből ismeri es hasznositotta, es tobb esetben sajat feltarasai reven is gyarapitotta azokat. Az ujonnan nyert, elsősorban topografiai informaciok a feldolgozas soran beepultek ugy az Adattarba mint a fejlődesi es tematikus terkepekbe.
