It is located in the commune of Levallois-Perret northwest of the capital. It was opened on 24 September 1937 when the line was extended from Porte de Champerret to Pont de Levallois - Bécon. The station is on the Rue Anatole France, which is named after the author Anatole France, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1921. Line 3 is one of the sixteen lines of the Paris Métro rapid transit system in Paris, France. Connecting Pont de Levallois - Bécon station in the near western suburbs to Gallieni in the east, the location of Paris' international bus station.
