Artist Lu Hao curated the China Pavilion at the 2009 Venice Biennale, and, bringing an artist's eye to the occasion, selected artists both known and unknown outside China: Fang Lijun, Zeng Hao, He Sen, Qiu Zhijie, Liu Ding, Zeng Fanzhi and He Jinwei.
