Situating Environmental History

The study of environmental history has now become important as a perceived environmental crisis in todays world. This perception has resulted in the development of a broad area called Environmental Studies. The historiography of environmental history has multiplied itself more than hundred times over the last two decades. This volume attempts to throw some light on one of the emerging frontiers of historical research.
