There has been a great deal of interest, hype and even fear associated with nanotechnology and its applications in cancers over the years. The debate on the powers of nanotechnology and the high risks and toxic effects of nanotechnology in cancers is ongoing. There have been several skeptics of the technology and several interesting breakthroughs, at least at the laboratory level worldwide. This has led to miracle like powers assigned to nanotechnology by some while there have been strong generalisations by others calling nanotechnology toxic, dangerous, and unethical. The truth lies somewhere in between these two extremes and needs to be clearly understood in order to develop specific aspects of this field and take precautionary measures regarding some other aspects.
