The writer Klara Liboch returns to her country to get back the memory of her youth in which everything seemed possible. Klara remember how the discovery of literature, music, and theater opened her the doors of a world full of freedom. However, what really turned her youth around was a relationship with two men: Oscar Klein, a Jewish photographer from a rich family, and his best friend, Jan Bielski, a rebel who got out of a reformatory and founder of a very important clandestine politic group.
