Babylonians and Assyrians: EARLY ASIA II

When the resplendent Sumerian age came to an end, the rest of the Mesopotamic people began to flourish and settled further north. Babylonians and Assyrians took over from the progress made by Sumer, Ur and Uruk and extended their territories all over the Middle East into the kingdoms of Hammurabi, Asurbanipal and Nabucodonosor, among others.
