Augustus and the Empire: ROME III

Augustus continued the work begun by Julius Caesar and established the empire in Rome. Under his reign, territorial expansion reached its peak and the emperor was declared a God and worshipped as such. With his death in the year 14, Roman power began a slow decline, under increasing pressure from the Barbarians.
