The Decline of the Empire: ROME IV

With the death of Augustus, came a succession of emperors, such as Caligula, Claudius or Nero, who began to show signs of despotism or weakness. The decline of Rome would escalate in the 2nd and 3rd centuries and would be accelerated by the splitting of the empire in two in the year 395, when Theodosius died.
