Cities and Trade: THE MIDDLE AGES IV

From the year 1300 onwards, an economic revival took place in Europe, fuelled by the growth in trade between cities and rural areas, which until then had been self-sufficient. The Hundred Year War, the fall of Constantinople to the Turks or the trading networks of the Mediterranean and the Hanseatic cities were some of the main features of this period.
