The Discovery of America: AMERICA II

A number of circumstances converged to bring about the discovery of the 'New World': the need for new markets and routes to expand trade, technological advances which made it possible to make long voyages across the ocean and the figure of Christopher Columbus, who managed to convince the Spanish monarchs to finance his expedition.
