La noche antes

Febrero de 1965. Es el año del concierto de los Beatles en la Monumental, de las manifestaciones en Washington en contra de la guerra de Vietnam, del asesinato de Malcom X... Los estudiantes de Barcelona también se movilizan, aunque el Régimen se empeñe en anclarlos al pasado.

Ana empieza a trabajar como taquígrafa en el Diario de Barcelona. Siempre había querido estudiar pero, hija de una familia modesta, no se puede permitir ir a la universidad. Allí deberá asistir a Eduard, un joven periodista que acaba de graduarse.

Aunque entre ellos nacerá una relación tensa y conflictiva, estarán juntos entrevistando a los Mustang, los Sírex y los Beatles. Y ella descubrirá su vocación y luchará para cambiar el papel de la mujer en las redacciones, dominadas plenamente por los hombres.

February 1965. The year of the Beatles’ concert at the Monumental, demonstrations in Washington against the Vietnam War, the assassination of Malcolm X…The students in Barcelona also mobilize, although the Regime is set on anchoring them to the past.

Ana starts working as stenographer at the Diario de Barcelona. She always wanted to study, but, coming from a modest family, she cannot allow herself that. She is assigned to Eduard, a young reporter who just graduated.

A tense and conflicted relationship will be born between them, and they will interview the Mustang, Sirex and Beatles together. She will discover her calling and will fight to change the role of women in the newsrooms dominated by men.
