Africa: THE 20TH CENTURY II

The independence of the old colonies from the European colonizers was a relatively short process, however, it was responsible for a great deal of the drama which surrounds the African continent. The new countries' decision to keep out of international disputes as part of the Non-Aligned Movement, has not enabled them to avoid economic poverty or hunger.
