Meals in a Social Context: Aspects of the Communal Meal in the Hellenistic and Roman World

Scholarly contribution provide insight into how social mores and etiquette were transmitted to children, the growing significance of family for Christians, the culture clashes of Greek and Roman, and the development of religious connotations around meals.
