Orazio Gentileschi: "Astratto e superbo toscano"

Orazio Lomi Gentileschi (Pisa 1562-London 1640), father of Artemisia Gentileschi, was an Italian painter of international fame. This book, the first Italian monograph about Orazio, focuses on his life and activity, bringing new information and documentary about his training in Pisa and the important encounter with Caravaggio, then his activity in Rome and finally his offices for the queen of France and the king of England.
