The publication contains the proceedings of the study day that took place at Civita di Bagnoregio (Viterbo) on May 19 th , 2012. Through various disciplinary approaches (historical, archaeological and ceramologic), the book reconstructs the phenomenon of clay manufacturing in the seventeenth century, a century rich in data and documentary materials. The importance of pottery in everyday life offers the opportunity to investigate little-known aspects such as fashions or as the presence of artisans in big fairs.
