L'immagine dei giardini e delle ville medicee: Nelle lunette attribuite a Giusto Utens

The book is dedicated to a series of lunettes depicting the Villas of the Medici family through extraordinary aerial views. These paintings were ordered in 1599 by the Grand Duke Ferdinando I de' Medici to the Flemish artist Iustus Van Utens; after several transfers, the lunettes are today exposed in the Villa Medicea delle Petraia in Florence (Italy), where visitors can now see the painting after a thorough work of restoration, which is the main subject of the book.
