L'alluvione di Piero Bargellini

Piero Bargellini (1897-1980) was the major of Florence during the hard days of the Arno flood in 1966. In his diary he wrote about the tragedy suffered by the city, as well as the strong efforts in aiding the most troubled citizens and trying to protect the artistic heritage. The book, published for the first time in 2006, is now reprinted in a special edition for the 50 th anniversary of the flood.
