Le porte del cielo: Percorsi di luce nelle chiese romaniche toscane

The book is born from the need to find out something special, and often forgotten, inside the Romanesque churches of Tuscany: that is the deep symbolism given to the Light by the first Christian, especially in such occasions as Easter Day, Solstices and Equinoxes. In the 44 churches examined by the Author, the sunrays that enlighten the more sacred places - such as the crypt and the altar - symbolize the tangible presence of Christ in his temple.
